Scottish EDGE committed to tracking what happens to women-led businesses post-EDGE funding and what it looks like for women-only and mixed team (founded) businesses vs men-only founded businesses. The findings of this work were published by Myles Bax on LinkedIn, which you can access here.

Pledge 2

Scottish EDGE also committed to showcasing female speakers at Scottish EDGE events, like their Pitching Days, Award Ceremonies and Alumni Events. They achieved this in both Alumni Events and Award Ceremonies in 2024. They also aimed for gender parity across the eleven pitching days they hold for each round involving forty four judges and were on track to achieve this but due to unforeseen circumstances, one woman had to drop out at the last minute and nominated a man as her replacement.
