Eos

Eos invests in, and commercialises, science and technology, from local seed-stage to global scale, with a focus on improving lives. We have deep roots in Scotland, with a global perspective.

Pledge 1

Eos committed to having at least one woman on panels reviewing investment opportunities and in secondary meetings, and the same at the Investment Committee. This diversity has been achieved through several steps, one of which being the careful scheduling of pitch meetings to ensure there is always at least one female Eos member in attendance. This has also been achieved through ensuring syndicate meetings are jointly hosted by at least one female member of the Eos team.

Pledge 2

Eos committed to hosting a series of events, with a skew towards potential female investors and those earlier in their careers, helping improve the accessibility of investment by providing a welcoming and inclusive space where those new to early-stage investing can learn more. Eos held two events in 2024, one in Glasgow and one in Edinburgh, and these were attended by an audience that was 82% female. The content included the basics of early-stage investing, a mock pitch, and investor storytelling. A survey before and after demonstrated increased confidence in the ability to make an informed decision on whether to invest in early-stage businesses.
